    Module Description:
    The Technical English module is designed to help students develop the language skills required to understand and communicate effectively in their technical field. The course focuses on reading and analyzing scientific documents, as well as discussing specialized topics in English with fluency and clarity. By the end of the module, students will be able to confidently present and explain their area of expertise in English, making use of appropriate technical vocabulary and expression.

    UNIT 1: ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT

    Course Description

    This course combines technical and linguistic skills by exploring the basic concepts of electric circuits, including series, parallel, and short circuits. Through reading comprehension, vocabulary development, speaking, and writing exercises, students will enhance their English proficiency while gaining an understanding of essential electrical concepts.

    Course Objectives 

    1. Reading Skills: Develop the ability to read and comprehend technical texts about electric circuits.

    2. Vocabulary Building: Learn and use key terms related to electric circuits, such as "current," "fuse," "short circuit," "parallel," and "series."

    3. Translation Practice: Translate technical descriptions of circuits between English and the students’ native language.

It explores the operation of power stations, transformers, distribution networks, and substations. Students learn the technical vocabulary associated with power transmission, analyze diagrams, and develop reading and listening comprehension skills. Activities include describing electrical systems, organizing ideas in technical English, and using correct grammatical structures related to the field. This unit prepares students to discuss the fundamentals of energy transmission in a technical context.
