One of the central dichotomies in the annals of social sciences is the dichotomy of individualism and holism .Individualism and holism represent two key theoretical perspectives that have for many decades steered and shaped sociological thought. The discussions primarily focus on two issues: first, the existence of social phenomena as sui generis and their relationship to individuals.
